ABERDEEN DENTAL EDUCATION CENTRE

The Aberdeen Dental Education Centre (ADEC) is located at Argyll House, Foresterhill, Cornhill Road, Aberdeen, AB25 2ZR. As part of NHS Education for Scotland, ADEC offers a range of training programs for dental professionals, including the NES Scottish Dental Nurse Induction Programme, pre-registration dental nurse training, post-registration qualifications, and continuing professional development courses for dentists and dental care professionals. The centre also supports dental vocational training, infection control, in-practice training, and practice management education. ADEC boasts modern facilities, including multiple flexible training rooms, a clinical skills area with twelve phantom heads, a training surgery, decontamination and sterilisation facilities, an IT suite with 15 workstations, and a well-equipped lecture hall. Situated within the Aberdeen Dental Institute, ADEC collaborates closely with the Aberdeen Dental School and Hospital, fostering strong relationships to enhance dental education and patient care.
